How Not to Die - The healthiest diet in the world!


I can't recommend this book enough!! There are 12 basic rules to live the longest possible! Dr Michael Greger M.D. wrote it....And I have 1 bonus tip not featured in the book...


DAILY DOZEN - MINIMUMS
1/2c of Cruciferous veggies 
2 cups raw Green Leafies or 1 cup cooked 
1c of  Other veggies/veggie juice or 2 cups raw leafy vegetables; or 1/2 cup dried mushrooms.
1 1/2c Beans/Legumes/Tofu or 3/4c hummus/dip black beans or 3 cups fresh peas/sprouted legumes 
1/2 c Berries/Grapes or 1/4c dried
3 cups/medium Fruits or 3/4c dried
1 TB Flaxseeds
1/4c Nuts/Seeds a or 2 TB nut butter
1/4t Spices and Turmeric
1 1/2c Cooked Whole grains or 3c cereal 3 slices of bread 1 1/2 Bagels
90m moderate Exercise
5 glasses Water - 340ml glasses 


In practise I find Nutritarian - Joel Furhman's guide to be a bit more attainable with the low amount of calories I need.

DAILY FOODS - G-BOMBS

G- greens
-
B- beans and legumes (1 cup)
O- onions
M- mushrooms
B- berries
S- seeds and nuts

1 large salad - loads of greens
80 10 10 is rubbish- EAT  1 ounce nuts/seeds and live longer
1c legumes/beans
Large serving steamed greens
Cooked mushroom and raw onions
Green veggies
3 fresh fruits -esp berries
1 TB chia/flax/walnuts ALA
Iodine?
Iron?



BONUS TIP?
The longest living cultures do not buy food from the shops- they make it. They grow it organically. Whether they eat meat or not the secret is in unprocessed foods, no preservatives, additives, artificial sweeteners and flavours! Just food, as it was made by the earth. Simple.
