Faux-gurt vegan gluten dairy soy free yogurt

Note, recipe below still needs to be perfected but noting down for myself.

If Creme brûlée and mousse had a baby this would be it! 

This yogurt is super thick and creamy, but light, and coats the mouth with a subtle sweetness and caramel undertones. All the health of yogurt with none of the unhealthy fats, refined sugars, or inflammation and allergies! Quick, High fibre, bigger range of probiotic, natural whole sugars, low calorie, and high in omega 3! 

Chobani non fat is 140 calories a cup
This fauxgurt is only 125 calories a cup! 

Makes 1 cup

2t kefir half almond half dairy (omit if vegan dairy free option, introduces more probiotics)
1/2t glucomannan powder ( a thickener similar to agar agar but doesn't need heat to activate)
2nd line on blender unsweetened vanilla almond milk freshly opened so it lasts a long time, 3/4c
1 or more probiotic pill
2 soaked dates
1/2t Vanilla essence
1/2t flax oil for omega 3 

Mix immediately. Store in fridge for 10 minutes and reblend. 

Stores in fridge for 5 days.


Use over berries and such for breakfast or just eat as it is!

Don't let the flecks of date deter you, think of them as sprinkles of caramel!
