Jaffles! - Hot jam donut, banana crepes...etc

Ain't nothing better in winter then a nice warm jaffle!

Here's my suggestion. Buy a small square pan- to make "sandwhich bread" shaped crepes and pancakes  to use as your bread, if you prefer to make your own. This is the perfect size for a jaffle!

HOT JAM DONUT
Spray one side of each slice of your country life bread with spray oil.
spread some 50% less sugar jam on the other side of one slice and set aside.
Crack an egg in a cup and whisk with a fork.
Place the other slice oil side down onto the jaffle maker and pres the centre to create a "dip"
Add a few tablespoons of whisked egg (as much as will fit in the dent) into the centre of your bottom slice.
Place the jam slice on top (jam side down)
close jaffle maker and wait 2 minutes or until done
Pull out and sprinkle with a pinch of sugar (doesn't have to be castor.)
optional- can add a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar instead.
ENJOY (I know it seems weird but to me it really did taste like a hot jam donut! - seriously it's genuis...

BANANA CREPES
Bake your crepes in a small square tin pan - don't burn them because you'll be cooking them further...
Arrange one slice on the jaffle maker
Slice banana on top
Pour some maple syrup
Put a square of chocolate on each half
Put another crepe on top
close jaffle maker
wait
ENJOY! Ooey gooey banana and chocolate Yum Yum!!!
Optional - can sprinkle some cinnamon inside too
